The Significance of the Palm Tree
The palm tree has been used for hundreds of years as symbols of victory, triumph, peace and even eternal life. Palm trees originated in the ancient Near East and the Mediterranean. Palm trees go back at least eighty million years, to the Cretaceous Period, when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. The Romans used palm leaves to reward people who won competitions. In various religions, palms represent peace, plenty, and life.
We believe that survivors of trauma are like the palm tree having achieved victory over their trauma and are finding peace and triumph. May you stand tall like the palm tree and may you know peace as you work through your trauma.
We also love that palm trees symbolize tropical vacations!
